HERNE THE HUNTER & LOKI THE TRICKSTER
These are commissioned items.
The first, below, is Herne the Hunter from heathen Anglian legend, Herla cyning, King Herla, antlered lord of the forest. He possibly originates in the Gaulish Celtic Cernunnos. He is shown here with his hunting spear. His cloak has birch bark sections.
The second, below, is Loki, the mischievous trickster of Norse mythology, based on an old manuscript illustration. He is shown here with a jester hat and garb, with shoulder pieces of birch bark. He holds the net, an item he invented.

At a customer's suggestion I undertook a commission to do a new figure of Odhinn, with his characteristic floppy hat and staff, the mysterious wanderer. As well as Huginn and Muninn, his two ravens on his shoulders, parts of his cloak are formed of real birch bark. You can view at the STATUES section. More pictures below.

All staves will be stained in traditional red from now on, unless specifically requested otherwise.
